What We Inspect Before a Sword Leaves the Workshop

The purpose of the factory inspection is to confirm that the received products match the order and to rule out obvious assembly, surface, and accessory issues. Slight variations are allowed for handmade items, but the model, size, and complete configuration cannot be assumed.

First, check the order, not the appearance.

The first items to check are the product name, model number, quantity, and customization details. Both Jingwu and Lingshuang come in sizes 1 to 8, and their textual parameters are similar. Therefore, both the style and size must be verified simultaneously. For group orders, each set must be marked according to the detailed list.

The product image indicates that manual measurements may have an error of approximately 1 to 2 centimeters. When checking, the measurement method specified on the product page should be used, distinguishing between blade length and overall length.

Next, check the sword body and assembly status.

Examine the lines and surface of the sword body to confirm there are no obvious defects affecting normal use; check if the guard, handle, and fittings are stable, and if there is any abnormal looseness between components.

These checks do not involve touching the blade edge or bending the sword body yourself. If any abnormality is found, stop the operation, keep photos, and let the workshop or sales team assess it.

Scabbards and accessories are also part of the delivery.

Whether the sword body can be properly sheathed and whether the scabbard and fittings are intact should be checked along with the entire sword. At the same time, check the sword tassel, sword bag, gift box, certificate, and optional items in the order.

Wood grain, handmade finishes, and decorative details may vary slightly. Whether aesthetic differences are acceptable should be judged according to the pictures or samples confirmed before placing the order.

Finally, leave traceable records.

After completing the inspection, record the product name, model number, quantity, and any issues found. For group orders, a checklist can be used to tick off each set, avoiding the assumption that the entire batch is identical just by checking samples.
